  1. Wauw a waxwing.
The bird isn't ordinary in Holland.
    It's a rare bird. A ambiguous haiku ( a good one :-))

    1. Wax melts in the sun.
This point brings back to mind the story of the first man who tried to fly by making wax wings.
But, does this bird, the poet's spirt, melt when in touch with the most powerful source of energy in Nature or it soars and gets purified!

  4. Rita, this is so beautiful and deep! It reminded me of the ordinary day. It reminded me of the Fall of Icarus by Breughel. Everyone is busy doing chores of any ordinary day. Icarus (On the bottom right of the painting) has fallen into the sea because his wax wings melted when he got in the sun.( see it here: http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Landschaft_mit_Sturz_des_Ikarus_Pieter_Breughel_d_Ä.jpg)

    1. Hello claude.
Firstly, I am so glad that I joined the:"Haiku Heights" and got to know beautiful friends.
Secondly, I need to thank you for reminding me of the name:"Icarus" which was in my mind when I wrote this poem. In one of my comments I mentioned :"This point brings back to mind the story of the first man who tried to fly by making wax wings.".But, is this a myth , a legend or a true story? I am not sure of the answer, although I believe that people tried to fly before inventing the airplane.
Thanks for stopping by and taking time to put the link to the wonderful artwork about the fall of Icarus. Many thanks for your Arabic expression:(I like it- أنا أحب!).
